The Delhi Photo Festival brings you a Masterclass unlike any other.

The Delhi Photo Festival Masterclass is designed in three parts

  • A three-day workshop designed and led by photographers Olivia Arthur (from Magnum Photos) and Philipp Ebeling courtesy British Council – founders of Fishbar, a photobook publisher and gallery in London.
  • Interactions with some of the leading experts in photography: Roger Ballen, Rob Hornstra, David Campany and Regina Anzenberger.
  • Access to all the exhibitions and events that are taking place (talks, gallery walks, book launches, slideshows, symposia, debates etc) during the festival opening week.

The #DPF2015 Masterclass is aimed at photographers who have a cohesive body of work or on-going projects that they would like to advance and shape. Participating in this Masterclass would give an unparalleled opportunity to get hands-on advanced learning experience hosted by some of the most talented contemporary photographers.

Over the course of the three-day workshop, Olivia Arthur and Philipp Ebeling will guide students to develop their ideas, clarify their message through rigorous editing and contextualise work for a wider audience.

A key element of the workshop will be a session on process of book making. With insights from publishing professionals on what makes for successful photobooks, and with the editing sessions that will take place during the masterclass, students will leave the class with a refined edit of their work and a good understanding of how to embark on making a book when they are ready to do so.
